This study tested a new treatment (study drug), to see if it could be an effective and safe treatment for patients with COPD.
The new treatment aimed to help decrease inflammation in the lungs of people with COPD, which could reduce episodes of worsening of COPD symptoms (called flare-ups), and improve lung function, health-related quality of life, and overall health.
