We are partnering with the T1DRA study and the University of Bristol to offer you the opportunity to learn more about your health.
Eating at least five servings of dark chocolate a week may lower your risk of type 2 diabetes by 21%. These findings came from a 30-year study of over 192,000 adults by Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The benefits are linked to dark chocolate’s rich polyphenol content, which may improve insulin sensitivity. On the other hand, milk chocolate offers no such protection and is associated with weight gain. Moderation is key to reaping the benefits without overindulging.
